There are a lot of viruses, worms, and malware out in the Internet world and it can be sometimes intimidating or worrisome to check your emails or browse a website. But maintaining the health of computer is a little like maintaining your health. You don’t eat or drink things that may be bad for you. You stay away from potentially dangerous environments. You perform daily and weekly personal maintenance or hygiene. In this post, I will tell you how you can take better care of your computer. Before you read on, keep in mind 99% of viruses, worms, and malware cannot attack without your help.
- Don’t open email attachment files that you don’t know where they came from or what they are.
- Don’t browse sites that have a lot of popup ads. These are the sites that try to sell you popup blockers and malware cleanup applications. As you probably have experienced, they are never good applications.
- Be careful where you click when closing a popup ad, just as you would when avoiding a pothole that can cause damage to your car.
- Keep your Microsoft Windows up-to-date about once a week.
- Don’t install applications that appear to help improve your computers performance, most of the time they just cause more harm than good.
Sometimes we side track from doing the basic steps mentioned above. Below are some tools that can help prevent your computer from getting a virus:
- Use a high quality antivirus software and it is very important to keep the virus definitions up to date
- Install an Email Security solution that blocks spam emails as well has email with a virus attachment. CBM offers an Email Security solution that can protect your company’s emails.

There is a new email going around today that contains malicious file.
- If you receive this email or similar email, DO NOT click on the attachment as it will infect your computer. Just delete the email. Even if the From address looks familiar, do not open the attachment, the spammer is most likely spoofing the address.
- If you have clicked on this attachment:
- Update your antivirus software,
- Run an antivirus scan,

There is a new email threat going around that looks like it came from Facebook, but don't be fooled. This email has an attachment called agreement.zip which contains a trojan that can infect your computer.
- If you receive this email or similar email, DO NOT click on the attachment as it will infect your computer. Just delete the email.

To put it in simple terms, SaaS (Software as a Service) is basically a hosted service similar to web hosting and email hosting, but with advance applications such as Microsoft Exchange, CRM, file servers, etc.
With the economy the way they are and costs are going up, it is hard for small businesses to afford the critical tools they need to help make become profitable, and more efficient. Not only some of these tools are expensive, but they are always being updated with more or better features and upgrade costs are sometimes impossible to bear.

Spam messages have caused more damage than hackers and viruses, because of how easy and cheap it is to send fraudulent or infected emails.
Typically, there are two types of Spam emails: Unsolicited Bulk Email and Malicious Email.
